About once a year the Abendschone Chapter NSDAR makes a donation to the veterans in Fayetteville to make their stay in the hospital or in outpatient treatments more comfortable.

The items include toiletry and personal care, literary, canned food, coffee, reading glasses, adult clothes protectors, etc. Members of our chapter purchase items from a list of “Patient Needs” that the Department of Veterans Affairs provides each year. November, 2016 the value of the items donated totaled $245. The latest donation in March, 2018, totaled $273.
