Donna Wenger – in colonial attire – awards Berryville eighth grader with medal, certificate and cash prize for her winning essay in the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) essay contest. The contest was sponsored by the Abendschone Chapter NSDAR. Other chapter representatives present were Judy Germani, Phyllis Jones, and Colleen Cook.

Abendschone Chapter NSDAR celebrates Constitution Week

Constitution Week is celebrated for one week, September 17-23. Constitution displays are placed in the two Carroll County libraries – Eureka Springs Carnegie Library, and the Berryville Public Library. The current mayor of Eureka Springs signs two proclamations proclaiming the week to be Constitution Week. Local radio stations help with the celebration with announcements. Continue reading

Abendschone Chapter NSDAR donation to the Carnegie Library in Eureka Springs in memory of member, Nancy Naas

On April 18, the Abendschone Chapter NSDAR donated several items to the Carnegie Library in Eureka Springs. They were given in memory of member Nancy Naas, who faithfully served as registrar for 18 years.
