Suzanne Williams, Abendschone Chapter Historic Preservation Chair received an award for thirty plus years of volunteer work in historic preservation. She researched and published her book Nebraska and the CCC: Young Men at Their Best, preserving the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Nebraska. She interviewed over 150 men who worked in the CCC as young men. Other volunteer work in Eureka Springs is notable for her research for the cemetery, her work at the historic museum, and her research for the annual historic calendars published by a local bank.
