Members of Abendschone Chapter, NSDAR rang bells for Constitution Day, September 17, at 3:00 pm, commemorating the time our US Constitution was signed in 1787. 

The chapter included Berryville and Eureka Springs Middle Schools in the Constitution Week activities by placing displays in the school libraries and coordinating related activities with the American history teachers at each school.

On Friday, September 13, 2019 Eureka Springs’ Major Butch Berry signed a proclamation designating Constitution Week that occurs each year from September 17th to September 23rd, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution of the United States established America’s national government and fundamental laws, and guaranteed certain basic rights for its citizens. It was signed on September 17, 1787, by delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. To date, there are 27 constitutional amendments.
